Dairygold officially opens three new Co-Op Superstores
Through the months of October and November Dairygold welcomed guests to the official opening of three new Co-Op Superstores in Rathduff, Co. Cork, Ballinhassig, Co. Cork, and Parteen, Co. Clare.
These three new stores are part of Dairygold’s €11.5 million investment to enhance its retail store network and create a modern retail offering, purpose built to serve customers’ needs into the future. The investment for the stores was used to improve their physical appearance and create a state-of-the-art retail store for local farmers and the wider community, offering an extensive range of farm supplies. Both the Ballinhassig and Rathduff stores’ expansions include a modern, fit for purpose feed store and yard while the Parteen store expansion saw the inclusion of a garden centre.
Commenting on the store openings, Liam O’Flaherty, Head of Agri Business said, “We have cultivated a very loyal customer base down through the years and we work hard to ensure that we can service our customers, new and existing, with the best range of products and services to maintain that loyalty. That is what our overall store investment plan was all about, creating a network of modern stores, offering the best service and widest product range.”
Speaking at the events, John O’Gorman, Chairman, Dairygold said, “When we commenced the Store Investment Plan, it was important that the outcome was a sophisticated network of stores fit for our Members’ purposes, and we have achieved just that. I want to congratulate the staff and management teams from all the stores on what they have worked so hard to achieve.”
